Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
HandicapMaster provides its service to you, subject to the following Terms of Service, which may be updated by us from time to time without notice to you. You can review the most current version of the Terms if Service at any time on this page.
By registering your Club or Society to the Master Scoreboard Service, you agree to the terms of this Agreement, and you re-affirm that agreement every time you use it. Visitors to the Master Scoreboard Service who do not register to upload Club or Society data similarly affirm that they are bound by this Agreement each time they access the Master Scoreboard Service.
2. Description of Service
Master Scoreboard is a service provided by HandicapMaster for Golf Clubs and Societies to publish golfing results and information relating to their organisation on the Internet.
3. Registration
The person who registers the club/society is responsible for the content on that organisation's pages, including any notices or communication placed on the notice board and events board.
4. Privacy policy
HandicapMaster's Privacy Policy forms part of this Agreement, and by agreeing to this Agreement, you also give your consent to the way we may handle your personal data in that policy.
5. Operation of Master Scoreboard Service
HandicapMaster reserves the right to withdraw or modify one or more aspects of the Master Scoreboard Service where we have legal or technical reasons to do so, whether under our direct control or outside of our control.
We cannot guarantee information that is posted to the Master Scoreboard.co.uk web site can be recovered in the event of loss following a technical problem with the service. Users accept that information may need to be re-uploaded or re-entered into the web site.
For security or other reasons, we may require you to change password or other information which facilitates access to the Master Scoreboard Service.
You acknowledge that HandicapMaster may establish general practices and limits concerning use of the Service, including without limitation the maximum amount of data that the Service will accept, the maximum disk space that will be allotted on Master Scoreboard's servers on your behalf, and the maximum number of times (and the maximum duration for which) you may access the Service in a given period of time.
You agree that HandicapMaster has no responsibility or liability for the deletion or failure to store any messages and other communications or other Content maintained or transmitted by the Service.
You acknowledge that HandicapMaster reserves the right to cancel accounts that are inactive for an extended period of time.
6. Modifications to Service
HandicapMaster reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. You agree that HandicapMaster shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
7. Content Submitted or made available for inclusion on the Master Scoreboard web site
HandicapMaster does not claim ownership of Content you submit or make available for inclusion on the Service. However, with respect to Content you submit or make available for inclusion on publicly accessible areas of the Service, you grant HandicapMaster the following world-wide, royalty free and non-exclusive license(s) for HandicapMaster to use such Content for the purpose of promoting the Master Scoreboard service.
8. Misuse of Master Scoreboard Service
HandicapMaster reserves the right
- to suspend or terminate accounts on the Master Scoreboard Service, or parts of it, and/or
- to edit, or require the User to edit, material posted on the Master Scoreboard Service,
if the material appears to us to be in breach of any provision of this Agreement or may bring HandicapMaster into disrepute.
9. Relevance
The Master Scoreboard Service is intended to be used by its Users for the purposes referred to in Clause 2 above. Accordingly, Users must not place material on, or otherwise use, the Master Scoreboard Service for any business or commercial purpose.
10. Prohibitions
You are responsible for ensuring that no material you post, or which is posted through a machine on which you access the Master Scoreboard Service, nor any activity or communication you make in connection with any Master Scoreboard Service, will be capable of
- infringing the intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity,
- breaching any applicable law, whether criminal, tortious or otherwise, or
- appearing to be offensive, threatening, obscene, pornographic, false, unreliable or misleading.
11. Alerting HandicapMaster
If you see anything on the Master Scoreboard Service which appears to infringe this Agreement, then please contact us to inform us of it through the Contact us page on the home page.
HandicapMaster does not generally monitor material contributed by Users when posted on the Master Scoreboard Service. We rely upon users to point out any which infringes this Agreement.
12. Disclaimer
HandicapMaster has no control over or responsibility for the truth or accuracy of any material available on the Master Scoreboard Service, whether provided by Users or others.
We do not endorse (nor have any responsibility over) any third party web site that links to Master Scoreboard.co.uk.
Your use of the Master Scoreboard Service is entirely at your own risk.
13. Intellectual Property
You acknowledge that all copyright, trade marks, and other intellectual property rights in and relating to the Master Scoreboard Service are owned by HandicapMaster.
No-one may copy, distribute, show in public or create any derivative work from the Master Scoreboard Service, or any of information found on the Master Scoreboard.co.uk web site unless properly licensed to do so by us.
14. Excluded loss
We will not be liable to you or any third party for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, or for any loss of data, profit, revenue or business, howsoever caused (whether arising out of any negligence or breach of this Agreement or otherwise).
HandicapMaster will also not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under this Agreement caused by matters beyond its reasonable control.
15. Changes to this Agreement
HandicapMaster reserves the right to change this Agreement from time to time, and post the new version on the Master Scoreboard web site.
